Product Description
Coccyx Cushion - Compare to Cush Tush Made of high quality standard density memory foam (3.5lb), this product helps relieve back pain by reducing the pressure on the spine and coccyx : Temperature-sensitive foam interacts with body heat to gently mold to your shape and provides customized comfort. The cut-out section eliminates painful pressure on the tailbone. Sloping wedge shape helps correctly align spine and tilts the pelvis forward to restore the natural lumbar curve, a position often recommended by doctors to provide maximum comfort and relief. Can be used with almost any seat: Car seat, Office chair, Home.....virtually anywhere Seat Dimensions: 16" x 13" Seat Cover: Washable cotton/polyester zip-off cover; extra liner for foam protection Seat Color: Blue Seat Warranty: 3 years FAQ What is memory foam? Visco-elastic memory foam was originally developed by NASA and used on space shuttles to relieve pressure on astronauts caused by G-Forces during take off. It is several times denser than regular polyurethane foams, is temperature sensitive and always recovers to original shape. It is also called slow-recovery foam (see picture). Due to its distinctive property in relieving pressure, memory foam has been developed into many products such as pillows, toppers, wedges, supports, etc., to benefit millions of consumers worldwide.

Coccyx Cushion Review

Customer Review: I have a permanently bruised coccyx which aches after sitting too long, which means shifting positions, slouching, lots of Motrin, all that stuff. I was seriously looking into buying an expensive Aeron Chair when I decided to give this a try. I had used the "donut" pillows in the past with no satisfaction. This cushion works great. The heat sensitive foam forms to you when you sit on it, will reshape quickly anew when you get up, the cutout in the back is perfect for keeping pressure off the coccyx. I am very happy with the results I get and the quality of the cushion.

Customer Review: I bought this because of my broken coccyx. Before it, I tried on a "Tush Cush" and an inflatable ring. The inflatable ring is totally useless for me: (i) the 16" diameter is too small for an average adult so that you cannot stably sit in it especially when driving; (ii) when sitting in it, the inside circle of the ring is pressed down, causing the outside circle to squeeze your buttock, making my pain worse. The "Tush Cush" is made of soft foam, so the second problem with the ring still exists. So my experience is that you want to choose a cushion made of firm (if not hard) material. The memory foam that this product is made of is a right material: it is firm, yet slowly mold to your shape. However, sitting for a relatively long time, 30 min in my case, will make noticible pain. So my advice is to try to stand as often as you can if you have a broken coccyx like me.
